Andre Winegar: You don't need a license, but you do need the knowledge. If you are new to boating, take a boating safety class given by the Coast Guard or the US Power Squadron. For example, did you know that after fueling one of these power boats, if you don't run the bilge blowers and try to start the engine, the whole boat might explode?
