Connie Dickirson: *edit* When I asked what brand of seatbelt meant to ask what brand of car harness :PRight now I crate majority of my dogs, but because my boxers crate can not fit he get's a car harness(I got a kong car harness for him). But I also today just picked up a new 36" crate(his is 42") so he should be able to be crated now! YAY!
Antonia Mogg: http://www.championcaninesafety.com/One trick pony - they sell seat covers so you don't have to shampoo your seat. I would never allow my dogs in the car without a cover. Even in our Motor home they are set belted in on the dining table benches with the table down and covered with a water proof material that we custom made ourselves. They don't get sick but do track in a lot of dirt especially when they have been swimming.cen5 - I hope your JRT is secured for his own safety. A collision at 30 MPH makes your JRT exert a force of 20 times his bodyweight (15lbs = 300lbs!) and a dangerous projectile....Show more
Tatiana Evanosky: My dog used to be harnessed to the rear centre seat belt at the cost of having to have the seat shampooed because he gets car sick. These days, if he has to be driven, he is double harnessed in the bed of my small truck to negate the possibility of him getting near the sides. Amazingly he doesn't get sick in the truck ---- go figure.NOTE - the only way he's getting in the back of the truck is if it's a vet emergency; I DO NOT normally travel with my dog present. He does not travel well....Show more
Georgia Dees: For our boxers they travelled in the boot (trunk) of the car either in a crate or with a guard/grille.Our jack russell travels in the passenger's footwell
Brock Anwar: I have a SUV, so my dogs ride crated in the hatch area of the truck. I currently have wire crates that are tied down.I have no clue what company the crates are. I had exchanged with a friend, 2 larger wire crates for 2 smaller wire crates.
Raymundo Kyser: I dr! ive a compact sedan and have larger dogs, so their crates don'! t fit (if the did crates fit, I would crate them.) If we're going a short distance, I usually just leave them loose, and for longer rides, they're buckled in with harnesses.
