Hipolito Rightmire: to be legal, you CANT buy & sell a car without registering it and getting a new title in your name and that would include paying sales tax and title fee.Only licensed dealers can buy & sell without registering & titling the car in their name.Now, if you title jump, which is illegal, you can often get away without paying sales tax unless you are caught in which case it could cost you much more than the sales tax would have....Show more
