Best budget DIY decorating ideas website?

Isreal Kochheiser: We used a website for ideas called "Decorating and Design", the site looks like a basic painters and decorators site, but it has a massive article directory which has lots of great design and re-decorating ideas, here is the site, http://www.decoratinganddesign.net"> Decorating and Design

Hilde Heskett: Do a search for "Christopher Lowell" on your search engines. He used to have an excellent show on Discovery Channel where he taught people how to decorate cheaply. Buy his book '7 layers of decorating".

I have bought a good! deal of stuff thru overstock.com (the last one on the list). When buying online ALWAYS read as many of the reviews as possible. Reviews really really really help as a guide to quality and problems that may arise. You can also pick up a few magazine like better homes and gardens, house beautiful, etc. You can go to their websites also. I have bought many items through my local craiglist and local consignment shops. Some people get rid of beautiful furniture and accessories for the strangest reasons, but that is your gain. Good luck. Benjamin Moore is a paint site. Their gallery (and other paint sites, like valspar (lowes) and Behr (home depot) have nice sites for ideas too....Show more
