Lonnie Jehle: January 7th this year we had an F3 tornado touch down across the northern Illinois state line. We also had record breaking temperatures around 60 degrees. Less than a week after that we had a foot of snow and -20 wind chills.Fast forward to this past week. Severe thunderstorms and temperatures in the 60s, and now today with a high of 40 and snow.I think it's safe to say that you can definitely see the effects or global warming in my area. I can see a difference from the last 10 years. The winters get colder and the summers get hotter. Every season is record breaking. This past year we broke the record of snow fall. Reginald Maxi: I dont know if its the cause of global warming but it got up to 100 degrees here in SOuthern California.... and its still April
Rayford Speziale: In the past 50 years Florida (where I live) has been recieving hurricane after hurricane due to the change in weather (oceans becoming warmer). Each one getting stronger after the next. As for the land, not much difference. A little erosion maybe? Because of the really dry summers that we've been getting lake Okeechobee (giant lake in the middle of Florida where we get a lot of our fresh water from) is drying up severely causing really strict water restrictions. It has been predicted that if the! global warming problem persists South Florida will be under w! ater within the next 50-100 years. Not exactly looking forward to that... :[...Show more
